Dorin Baniel joined Glilot Capital in 2018. As VP of Value Creation, Dorin is responsible for working hand in hand with Glilot’s portfolio Founders on building their companies from scratch, while maintaining and managing Glilot’s Advisory Board of C-level executives. Dorin has supported 17 portfolio companies from seed to scale, with her work contributing to six exits in three and a half years. In 2022, Dorin was named to Forbes Israel’s 2022 ’30 Under 30′, a list of young leaders selected by an expert panel of industry leaders and Forbes’ editorial team. Prior to Glilot Capital, some highlights include her work at Microsoft Accelerator connecting between startups and corporate customers, supporting the client development of Conversant’s largest retail and political customers (acquired for $2.3B by Alliance Data), and designing and launching iDesignate, an iOS app that aims to connect those in need with designated drivers or walkers, at age 20 as a Sophomore in college. Dorin is part of the Steering Committee of Women’s Founders Forum which equips female entrepreneurs with the necessary tools, professional skills and mentorship that are essential for the initial stages of a startup. She is also a Mentor at Reichman University’s Venture Capital Club. As a Dean’s List Honoree and part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Dorin graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.Sc in Psychology, a minor in Business and a minor in Informatics. Dorin holds a Global MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Reichman University. Dorin holds dual American and Israeli citizenship, having made Aliyah from Chicago to Israel on her own at age 23.
